In Goody, Quality & Safety Come First

As part of Goody’s commitment to its consumers, Quality and Safety are the company’s top priority. This applies to Goody’s entire portfolio, from foods and beverages to all systems and services. Quality assurance & product safety is one of the pillars which forms the foundation of everything done at Goody.

Actions undertaken to ensure quality and food safety are guided by the company’s Quality Strategy which describes its commitment to building trust by offering products that match consumer expectations and preferences; complying with all internal and external food safety, regulatory and quality requirements; adopting a zero-defect, no-waste attitude by everyone in the value chain; and making quality a company-wide objective.

Goody’s Quality Management System is the platform that is used to guarantee food safety and compliance with quality standards, as well as to create value for consumers. The internal Quality Management System is audited and verified to prove conformity with ISO norms, laws and regulatory requirements.

Across the Value Chain

The implementation of the Quality Management System starts at manufacturing sites. Goody has a long history of working with manufacturers to help them improve the quality of their products and adopt high quality safe practices. The Quality Management System not only ensures the company’s ongoing access to high quality raw materials, but also enables manufacturers to protect their income as a result of a reduction in product defects.

Quality is built-in during product development according to the requirements of the consumers, and following all food safety and regulatory requirements. Goody applies internationally recognized Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure quality and food safety. GMPs cover all aspects of manufacturing, including standard operating procedures, people management and training, equipment maintenance, and handling of materials.

Goody applies the internationally recognized HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system to ensure food safety at all manufacturing sites. This preventive and science-based system identifies, evaluates, and controls hazards that must be considered as part of maintaining food safety. The HACCPP system covers the entire food production process. Goody’s HACCP plans and systems are verified by external certification bodies against the international ISO 22000:2005/ISO 22002-1/BRC/IFS/SQF standards.

Goody’s products carry usage information to ensure that they are used safely while providing the highest level of quality for the consumer. The company’s consumer services ensure that any consumer inquiry, question or concern can be immediately responded to. The labels of all products provide the company’s address, website URL and telephone number; inviting consumers to engage with Goody.
